Helen M. DeMatte (nee D’Ottavio), 91, of Vineland, NJ passed away on Tuesday afternoon at the SJH Reg. Med. Ctr., Vineland after a brief illness. Mrs. DeMatte was born & raised in Vineland where she was a lifelong city resident. She was the daughter of the late Catherine (Mondano) & Angelo D’Ottavio and the wife of the late Edward D. DeMatte who died in 1976. She was also pre deceased by two brothers, Angelo & Robert D’Ottavio.
Mrs. DeMatte was a homemaker. In her early years she was employed as a clothing worker in several of the local clothing companies. After raising her children she became a Green Thumb and foster grandparent at the Vineland Developmental Center. She loved being a full time grand mother and babysitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 daughters:

Her funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday Feb 8, 2010 in the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ followed by burial in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery. Relatives & friends will be received on Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, NJ.
